Sizing

Which flow rate is right for you?

For a whole-house sediment filter, flow rate (GPM) is the peak service flow the media bed can treat while holding full pressure to every tap, catching the sand, silt, and rust before they reach your home. A larger tank treats more water at once and backwashes less often.

  • 10 GPM. The typical single-family size, for 2 to 3 bathrooms and 2 to 4 people. Holds full pressure across normal household use.
  • 15 GPM. For 3 to 4 bathrooms and 4 to 5 people, or homes with higher simultaneous demand and heavier sediment loads.

Not sure? A shower uses about 2.5 GPM and a washing machine 3 to 5 GPM, so add up the fixtures that might run together at your peak. When between sizes, size up for steadier pressure. Tell us your number of bathrooms and we will size it right.

Overview

About this system

Whole-home sediment filtration that cleans itself and reports to your phone.

The Bluetooth Backwashing Sediment Filter captures dirt, sand, and suspended sediment before it reaches your fixtures, so the water at every tap runs clear. It filters through a FilterAg media bed rated to 5 microns, and a Bluetooth valve backwashes that bed automatically on a set schedule to keep it working at full strength. You handle setup and monitoring from your phone, and once the schedule is set the electronic control runs on its own. It is built for homes and light commercial spaces, with durable components throughout.

  • Removes dirt, sand, and suspended sediment for clear water at every tap
  • FilterAg media bed rated to 5 microns
  • Bluetooth valve for setup and remote monitoring from your phone
  • Automatic backwash keeps the media fresh, with no manual cleaning
  • Set the schedule once and the electronic control handles the rest
  • Long media life from the self-cleaning backwash cycle

Backed by a lifetime tank warranty and 10 years on the valve electronics.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Is this difficult to install? I would like to try installing it myself.

For a homeowner with moderate plumbing experience, this is a practical do-it-yourself install. It ships with clear step-by-step instructions, and our technical support team is on hand to answer questions along the way.

What fittings are required for a 1 inch inlet and a 3/4 inch outlet?

The included fittings pack has a set of 1 inch NPT elbows and a set of 3/4 inch NPT straights. From those pipe threads, you adapt to your home's plumbing.

How long does the filter last, and how many gallons does it treat?

Media life depends on how much sediment is in your water. In typical conditions it treats from several hundred thousand to several million gallons before the media needs replacing.

Is the filter media replaceable?

Yes. You remove the control valve, empty the old media, and refill the tank with fresh media. Our support team can walk you through each step.
