Easy to Install and Service
Engineered for the DIY homeowner. Mount the heavy-gauge bracket, connect the 1 inch ports, and apply the included O-ring grease for a clean seal and zero leaks at startup. There is no pressure-relief button to fail over time. To service, close the inlet, open a downstream faucet to relieve pressure, then use the included wrench to twist off the sump. Cartridge changes take about five minutes.

Is the temperature rating for the water or the surrounding air?
It is primarily the water temperature flowing through the housing and cartridge, which is the fluid temperature rating.
Can it handle about 150 degrees F ambient in a hot garage?
The 360 Ultra Filter and its cartridges are rated for 40 to 125 degrees F. An environment reaching about 150 degrees F ambient exceeds the published rating. Even on cold water only, we cannot recommend installing it somewhere that hot unless it is placed in a cooler, temperature-controlled location.
What are the replacement cartridges for the 4.5x20?
The replacements are 222-seal, Magna-style pleated polyester cartridges. Micron options and SKUs:

Does the housing have a pressure-relief button?
No. The 360 Ultra Filter does not include a pressure-relief button. Those buttons are a common leak point over time, so the design leaves them off for long-term reliability. To relieve pressure safely: close the inlet valve to the filter, open a downstream faucet or drain valve to drop pressure to zero, then loosen the housing slowly to service the filter.
What size screws mount the bracket? Are they lag screws?
The screws that mount the housing to the bracket are 5/16 inch by 1 inch.
How long does it last compared to a standard 10x4.5 25-micron filter?
Standard 10x4.5 25-micron filters often last about 30 days. The 360 Ultra Filter uses pleated polyester media with much greater surface area, so it can last six months or more, depending on sediment load and water usage. Adding a coarse spin-down pre-filter upstream can extend it even further.
How much clearance is needed under a 20 inch housing to change filters?
Allow 4 to 5 inches of clearance beneath the sump for comfortable filter changes.
Is a 20-micron filter okay for sediment?
Yes. A 20-micron cartridge works well for larger sediment such as sand and silt. For finer sediment, choose a 5, 1, or 0.5 micron cartridge.
